PRIVACY & TRUST

You can speak at your own pace.

Sharing something personal can take courage. At The Unsaid, we want you to feel respected, not pressured to explain everything perfectly. This page explains, in plain language, what information the website handles, why it is needed, when it goes to a service provider, and how you can contact us about it.

A simple promise from The Unsaid

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use your private booking message or astrology birth details for unrelated advertising. We use information for the purposes explained here—such as arranging your session, processing payment, sending booking details, keeping records and responding to you. Where a service provider must process limited information to make the website work, we explain that below.

You can share only what you feel comfortable sharing. A few words in the booking form are enough; you do not need to put your whole story into a form. We handle the information entrusted to us with care, but no online service can honestly promise absolute security or absolute confidentiality in every circumstance.

1. What information we collect

2. How we use your information

We do not sell your booking information, trade it with data brokers, or share it with third parties for their own advertising. We do not use your private message or astrology birth details to target advertisements.

3. Your free 2-minute check-in

The check-in is a reflection tool, not a diagnosis or medical assessment. Its answers are handled in your browser and are not sent to The Unsaid by the check-in tool. They are not used to create your booking. Because the answers are not saved to our booking system, they may disappear if you reload or close the page.

4. Which service providers are involved?

The website relies on a small number of providers to operate. We share or send information only where it is needed for the relevant feature, payment, booking or technical operation. These providers have their own terms and privacy practices.

Some providers may process technical information or store information in locations outside India. The exact handling by each provider is governed by its own policies and terms, together with any applicable legal requirements.

5. Browser storage and payment recovery

During checkout, the browser may temporarily keep a booking reference and selected session in local storage, plus a short-lived booking-access token in session storage. This helps the site recover the status of a payment or booking if confirmation takes longer than expected. The site clears these items after confirmation when possible. If you use a shared device, close the page when finished and avoid leaving it accessible to others.

6. Sessions and sensitive information

The booking form stores the message you submit as part of the booking record so it can be considered for the requested service. The website booking flow itself does not contain a feature for recording session audio or video. Online sessions use Google Meet, whose services process meeting and connection information under Google's own terms.

The Unsaid offers listening, reflection and personal guidance; it is not an emergency service or a substitute for qualified clinical care. Do not assume that a conversation has the same legal confidentiality privilege that may apply to certain regulated professional relationships. Please share at your own pace and only what you are comfortable putting into an online service.

7. Retention and deletion requests

We aim to keep booking information only for as long as reasonably needed to administer sessions, reconcile payments, handle cancellations or disputes, protect the service and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Booking attempts that remain unpaid and unconfirmed are subject to a retention sweep: 90 days after the temporary hold expires, we replace contact details with non-contact placeholders and clear optional messages and astrology birth details. We retain limited booking/order identifiers, amount, slot/status and related records only where needed for payment reconciliation, security or legal obligations. We cannot promise that every copy in a provider's backup or technical log will disappear immediately. If you ask us to delete information, we will review the request and remove information we no longer need to retain, subject to applicable law and legitimate payment, security or dispute-record requirements.

8. Security

The booking system uses safeguards including server-side storage of secret credentials, server-side Razorpay signature and payment checks, protected booking-status access and request-rate limits. We seek to limit access and use information for the purposes described on this page. These measures reduce risk but cannot remove every risk associated with internet transmission, devices or third-party services.

If you contact The Unsaid through WhatsApp, WhatsApp and its parent company Meta may process your messages and related account or device information under their own terms and privacy practices. Please review the WhatsApp Privacy Policy before messaging, and avoid sharing sensitive personal, health or birth details over WhatsApp.

9. Your choices and privacy requests

You can choose what to include in an optional message and may contact us to ask what booking information we hold, request correction, ask for deletion where appropriate, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or raise a privacy concern. We will assess and respond to requests in accordance with the laws that apply; some booking or payment records may need to be retained for legitimate or legal reasons. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

For a privacy request, email us from an address you can access and, if relevant, include your Booking ID. Please do not email payment passwords, UPI PINs, identity documents or extra sensitive details that are not needed to identify the booking.

10. Applicable privacy laws

We aim to handle personal data in line with the Indian laws that apply to The Unsaid, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 as their provisions apply and come into force. India's framework has a phased commencement timeline; this statement is not a claim that every provision is already in force or that compliance has been independently certified. You can read the DPDP Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025.

Other privacy laws may apply depending on where a person is located and the nature of the service—for example, the EU GDPR can apply to certain organisations outside the EU when they offer services to people in the EU or monitor their behaviour there. There is no single privacy law that automatically applies worldwide in the same way to every website visitor. We will consider the requirements that apply to a particular service relationship. For a general overview, see the European Commission's GDPR information.
